Muriatic acid creates a salt that has caused many failures when other topcoats were applied because the salts were not removed properly. The UltraGuard concrete sealer is a revolutionary cleanser, which removes oils, fats,waxes and etches the concrete with no VOCs.
The UltraGuard concrete sealer converts calcium hydroxide (chalky calcium) to calcium silicate, which is extremely hard and will bond with the concrete permanently. The penetrating sealer will prevent failures of our epoxy topcoat by stopping contaminants from coming to the surface, which in the past caused moisture vapor transmission, hydrostatic pressure and blisters.
